Cover Reveal: The Unsworn, Unbounded #9
by Teyla Rachel Branton
It’s Here!
I’m thrilled with my new cover for The Unsworn, Unbounded #9. At over 100,000 words, this is one of the longest books in the series. With the recent car accident we were in, this book is four months behind schedule. You can read the description here or a sample chapter here! Pre-order links will be up soon!

The cover flows perfectly with the others.
So excited the series is continuing!
I hate to be a party pooper – but I have NEVER liked ANY books of fiction with pictures of real people on the front . I’ve asked around in my friends age group and they agree! We are the senior set – so maybe that’s why we are different?
I really don’t understand why a picture of a real person, or even a painting of a real person is ever put on works of fiction. I don’t really pay attention to the picture – it distracts from the novel. Also, even though there is a description of the character in the book, sometimes I picture someone completely different. Like this one book – a very faithful man had an affair. The lady was tall with blond hair, and yet her character came across as Asian to me! She was short with dark hair in my reading. Go figure?
The deal with people on covers is that it depends on genre. When I began this urban fantasy series, it was customary to have woman with apparent magic. This is book 9, and uses the same model as all the other books in the series, so that can’t be changed until the entire series is revamped, which may occur at some point. There is a trend now to take people off urban fantasy covers. It will be interesting to see how long it takes. For myself, as long as it’s an attractive cover, I don’t really care what’s on it, lol. My imagination will do its think regardless. Like yours did witht he blond/Asian. Thanks for the comment!
